k. Maintaining vacuum, the rim of the membrane filter shall be gently washed with
prefiltered petroleum ether or equivalent to remove traces of hydraulic fluid,
being very careful not to disturb the cake.
l. The vacuum shall be shut off and the membrane filter removed. It shall be dried
to a constant weight at 125°F, and weighed to 0.1 of a milligram.
m. The difference between the membrane filter weights (steps (h) and (l)) shall be
determined.
n. Filtration efficiency shall be determined in accordance with the formula specified
in 3.4.6 and shall be no less than 97 percent. The difference in weights as
determined in step (m) shall be the contaminant value (B), and the contaminant
add value (as appropriate) in step (c) shall be the add value (A) as specified in the
formula in 3.4.6.

4.9.7 Collapse pressure test. The hydraulic pressure, adjusted to provide rate flow, shall
be applied to the filter element. The filter element relief valve shall be blocked. AC Fine Dust
shall be injected into the hydraulic fluid until the differential pressure of table IV across the filter
