6.9 Breakaway of bubbles. The breakaway of bubbles is the formation and breaking
away of bubbles on the surface of a submerged test valve while applying internal pressure. The
formation of bubbles is acceptable but breaking away is not.
6.10 Oxygen bomb test. A previously acceptable design of this pressure delivery system
was a 0.188 inch ID, corrosion-resistant steel tube approximately 6 inches long with a bend of
less than 4 degrees.
