3.6 Interchangeability. In no case shall parts be physically interchangeable or reversible unless such parts are

also interchangeable or reversible with regard to function, performance, and strength.

3.7 Marking. Each valve shall be clearly and permanently marked with the following information and symbol:

Manufacturer s name, trademark, or logo.

Military part number (that is, M24630/1-20).

Manufacturer s part number.

Arrows (2) showing the direction of the free flow (see 3.7.1.2).

Assembly date (by quarter and year).

Material heat number on pressure boundary parts (when specified, [see 6.2]).
