DETAIL SPECIFICATION
FILTER ELEMENT AND RELIEF VALVE,
FLUID PRESSURE, HYDRAULIC
(M-60 TANK SERIES)
This specification is approved for use by the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and
Armaments Command, Department of the Army, and is available for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers the performance and manufacture requirements for a
hydraulic filter element and relief valve, disposable type, 3 and 5 micron filtration, herein referred
to as the assembly.
1.2 Classification. Assemblies will be of the following assembly part numbers (see 6.2):

- 5 microns filtration, 10 gallons per minute flow rate.
12270316-1
- 3 microns filtration, 12 gallons per minute flow rate.
12270316-2
- 3 microns filtration, 3 gallons per minute flow rate.
